Every night before bed we read three or four books. Sometimes when Mommy is looking forward to a quiet evening or when Liam is very tired, we read three very enjoyable, very short books. One such favorite is Sharing with Renoir. It is part of an artist board book series that briefly tells a story about each painting. The words rhyme and have a nice rhythm to it.
The best picture is Renoir's Mother and Child
Whenever we get to the picture, we read the words, "A baby bounces on mother's knee," and we say, "Look, there's Mommy and Liam." Liam starts laughing really hard. Like, big kid hard. Like, a big, hearty chuckle. If we say it over and over again, he just laughs harder.
It's so great to see a growing personality. A big boy who will only laugh harder, play harder, and (God help us all! ) stay up later!
