A few notes:
If it takes longer than 20 minutes to make or isn't easy like a slow cooker, etc, I am not interested. I loooooove cookin. But I don't have to to live a la Martha Stewart and slave in the kitchen. It is fun to have a lot of recipes like "Brown Sugar and Balsamic Braised Chicken" that seem like you've spent a lot of time on it... but haven't!
All of these things are dairy free, even the desserts. Liam and I don't do dairy. Because it makes us sick. And feeling sick is a real bummer.
I am super duper excited to make gingerbread cookies with Liam. Cookie cutters! Frosting! Eating batter! LOVE IT!
I will be hosting my Dad, brother, and my brother's girlfriend here this year for Thanksgiving. I am testing recipes out because last year's recipes were SUCH A BUST! Also, I want to make sure they are easy so I don't break my rule. If things don't come together when I am cooking, it might put a real damper on my "throw a whole bunch of food in the oven/stove, drink wine, watch the game, laugh and dance with friends, catch up with family" perogative that I have.
And that is one damn fine perogative.
What are you eating this week? Are you getting ready for Thanksgiving?
